mod_rewrite
I was just fiddling with mod_rewrite, so if you saw lots of error pages that’s why
The reason being, I wanted to put all the files for chroder.com into a different directory and have all the URL’s rewritten to it, that way my home directory is nice and tidy against all the other addon domains I’ve got.
But it didn’t seem to want to work!

yeah, i know what you mean about tidieing up. i need to go thru all my files for nmpoc.com and create an include with all the variables in it. i forget what i have used before, which gets quite anoying having to change variable names 100 times for new code i write for the site. lol
but i think i actually managed to get the directory structur for everything worked out on the new host. lets see how long it lasts before it needs another clean up seasion.

No prob Z, and thanks for your link too
btw Dave, I think you should add some sort of “Ask the webmaster” type thing to your site, where people can ask questions and you can do a little research on the interesting ones.

i agree with chroder, that would be a pretty cool little feature, although it might get tireing fast, hearing the same people bitch and moan about the same points day after day. *shrug*
