Spam

Well, it’s reached the point where Chroder.com is getting spam comments. I’ve put in some filtering to try and stop some of it, but if it get’s bad I’ll have to enable comment moderation. Most of the comments are on older submissions (I guess for Google bots to pick up or something), so I doubt you saw any.

*sigh*

Is there any way to allow comments for only registered users (er…would mean I’d have to register)…but can it be done? I don’t know what wordpress can do…But I didn’t notice any of the spam comments…

Worpress’s user system is lightly done, it’s used mostly for users publishing posts, not commenters.

I was investigating it, but WP is just programmed so crappily I gave up. Might get around to hacking it one day… I’m actually thinking of switching to MoveableType, but I’d have to create my own importer.

That sucks. I finally got my first liberal poster over at cptnwinky.com. I am looking forward to having someone to debate. I just hope he does not turn into the type who spams. I might have to forward all my filtered gmail spam to his email address.
