New Mouse, Keyboard
I went out today and got a new mouse and keyboard since the other ones (which were like 5 years old) were really starting to annoy me. The keyboard was all dirty and the springs in the keys were starting to act up on me, and the mouse refused to move to the left no matter how many cleanings I gave it.
So I went out and bought a cheap-but-cool keyboard (link) and a Logitech MX1000 wireless mouse (link). I was not sure about the mouse, it got mixed reviews and I know people who have had their share of problems with Logitech wireless mouses, but I’d thought I’d give it a try anyway. I’ve got 30 days to turn around and take it back, might as well give it a chance
Wireless is a big plus, makes me feel free. And the extra buttons are pretty cool.
I’m still getting used to using a different keyboard and mouse, since I was using the same set for years and years. We’ll see how it goes!

I’m liking the keyboard. The keys are smooth and don’t make “CLICK” sounds lol. I think my typing speed has increased by like 30wpm. It might be the vanilla coke talking, though… Anyway, I didn’t want to get one of those big huge ones because 1) I wanted something simpler, and 2) my desk is kinda small so I needed something that would fit infront of my monitor (this BenQ just fits).
I think I like the mouse. It’s quite different, since its wireless (duh) and it’s heavier then my old one. I like how I don’t need to use an annoying mousepad now, I have an unlimited mouse-movement surface area

At least your mouse is rechargable! I have to replace my batteries every other month (if I’m lucky)…but I’m too cheap to go buy a real mouse.

Who in the world did you hear problems about Logitech mices from? I’ve never heard such a thing, just about all my buddies are gaming guys and ALL use logitech mice including some wireless ones and the 1000. Other then headphones, Logitech makes the best stuff in every category. Keyboards, Mice, Speakers, Joysticks… and I can’t think of what else they make lol.

I just know a lot of people who have had their share of bad experiences with Logitech. Then again, they’re top of the line so I guess that’s the only time anyone would ever metion any real problems
But I’m really liking the mouse now
